Support
Everything in the app works offline and without an account — there is nothing to sign up for, reset or unlock from our side. Here is how to get help.
Getting help inside the app
- The in-app “Help me now” section is the fastest route to guidance — it brings together the most urgent topics and verified helplines in one place.
- Each topic shows the date its sources were last checked, so you can judge how current it is.
- If you use the optional app lock and forget your PIN, we cannot reset it — nothing is stored with us. You can delete and reinstall the app, which starts fresh; anything you had entered is removed with it (see the privacy policy).
In an emergency
App support channels are never the right place for an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 — if you cannot speak safely, listen and follow the operator, and on a mobile press 55 when prompted. Samaritans are free to call any time on 116 123. These services are independent of SentenceWise.
Reporting a problem
- Something wrong or unclear in the content — a service whose details have changed, an accessibility problem, or guidance you believe is out of date: when the project's GitHub repository becomes public, it will include issue templates for exactly these reports (service correction, accessibility, content), and a link will be published on this page.
- Please never include personal details about any real case — yours or anyone else's — in a report. Reports are public.
- Security or privacy concerns should not be raised in public. Use the private contact route below once it is published; until then, please hold the details rather than posting them publicly.

A note on what support can be
SentenceWise provides general information about the justice system in England and Wales. It is not legal advice, and no response through any support channel can be legal advice. For advice about your own situation, speak to a solicitor or another qualified adviser.
